Research Interests

I'm interested in understanding the evolution of plant form and function at all relevant scales. To date my work has focused primarily on;  i) linking theoretical models of plant form and function to empirical allometries, and ii) trait variation within and across plant communities. I recently started at postdoc in the laboratory of Dr Joshua Weitz at the Georgia Institute of Technology (ecotheory.biology.gatech.edu). Here we are investigating how leaf vascular network structure is linked to whole leaf form and function.
