"First and foremost, I am a science nerd. It has shaped my world ideology and continues to rule most of supposed free time. I graduated with a BS in Biology from Davidson College (where I swam on the Division I team) and from The College of William and Mary with a MA in Biology. I aspire to join the rest of my family in the teaching profession, as I do believe it's "in the genes“ (nearly all close relatives are teachers)...so I hope that I succeed at this Ph.D. thing so that I can continue to teach and do my own research. When I have free time, I enjoy competitive swimming, running, golf, waterskiing, snow skiing, film, Braves games (never miss one, but usually watch on TV or listen on radio), the Symphony, theater, and of course, the Georgia Aquarium."
