BIOL 4450
SENIOR SEMINAR

Biology students present seminats on recent research topics based on their own research experience.

BIOL 4590
RESEARCH PROJECT LAB

Experience in designing, implementing, and communicating a biology research project, and practical training in modern approaches for biological research. This section will have a scientific theme of “Impacts of Biodiversity”. Students will design and run projects to test the impacts of genetic, species, or habitat diversity on ecological processes or the impacts of various environmental and ecological factors on biodiversity.

BIOL 6621
AQUATIC CHEMICAL ECOLOGY LABORATORY

Laboratory approaches to testing hypotheses of aquatic chemical ecology will be applied to theory and methods from Aquatic Chemical Ecology and Discovery of Signaling Molecules.

BIOL/CHEM 6756 BIOL 4746
DISCOVERY OF SIGNALING MOLECULES

The diversity of chemical signals between organisms and their structural specificities will be presented along with chemical and biological methods for isolating signaling molecules.

CHEM 8903
GRADUATE SEMINAR

Second-year Chemistry & Biochemistry PhD students present a research-based seminar on a topic of interest to an audience of chemists and biochemists.
