Biology

Cooperative Program

Biology majors can participate in the co-op program of alternating semesters of work and school. More details on the co-op program can be found here. It is important that a student interested in the co-op program plan ahead as the number of Co-op positions available each year is sporadic. Some years we do not have enough students to fill all of the positions and in other years we do not have sufficient job opportunities to provide positions for all of the students. The contact person in the Co-op Office for students in the College of Sciences is Sabrina Hall.

In addition, Biology majors in the co-op program must be sure to plan course schedules very carefully, since the numerous lab course requirements may not always be offered in the at-school semester. For this reason it is advised that co-op students work closely with their advisor to insure they plan their academic schedules correctly.
